Guest Spotlight: Kirsty Cooke
Musician | Actor | Entrepreneur | Conscious Mother | Unschooling Advocate | Women’s Empowerment Mentor | Nature-Led Living
Kirsty Cooke is a musician, actor, entrepreneur, and conscious mother based in Muriwai, New Zealand. She is passionate about freedom-led living, unschooling, feminine principles, wellness, and empowering women to expand identity, reclaim choice, and live from the centre of their own universe.
Kirsty Cooke left Elam School of Fine Arts when she realised she was out of integrity with her true purpose, choosing instead a creative, heart-led life as a professional musician and actor. She met her husband Paul in a band, and together they committed to a freedom-first path, including relocating to Melbourne in the early 1990s to pursue their music dream.
A chance introduction to leveraged business led Kirsty and Paul into the global wellness space, where they built an international network marketing business and lived and worked across the UK, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore, training and supporting entrepreneurs as the company expanded. Alongside business growth, Kirsty deeply invested in personal development and leadership training, including programs with Tony Robbins.
After creating a significant global business, Kirsty returned to New Zealand and retired young, allowing acting and music to become lifestyle choices rather than income pressures. She has continued performing, writing, and recording music, while also devoting herself to conscious parenting and alternative education.
Following a five-year IVF journey, Kirsty welcomed her first child, Charley, in 2008, then later conceived naturally and had her daughter Lulu in 2011 at age 40. For the past 16 years, Kirsty and her family have homeschooled and unschooled, prioritising curiosity, play, agency, and intrinsic motivation over external rewards and competition.
Kirsty founded Mum Camp in 2015, a not-for-profit retreat supporting mothers through connection, reflection, and conscious leadership in parenting. She and her family live near the beach in Muriwai and are involved in community projects including building a food forest and permaculture garden, alongside growing food and living close to nature.
As her children step into greater independence, Kirsty is entering a new chapter of growth and contribution, returning to her business platform as it launches new wellness technology into India. Her work now centres on wellness, feminine leadership, and empowering women to expand identity, remove inner limits, and live life on their own terms.
